About us
Deáky Fishing Tackle is a family business located 70 km North far from Budapest in Kétbodony in Hungary.
The village Ketbodony dates back all the way to the medival age before the turkish occupy. First it was called BODON according to letter of the hungarian king at that time who's name was Bela the IV in the year 1263. The village is sorrunded by huge forrests and thanks to that many people fleed and saved because of this from the Mongol Invasion. In 1579 the village consisted of 22 estates with families .It was inhabited mostly by slavic or slavic-hungarian people. During the Turkish Invasion the old village was destroyed in 1600 so the village needed settling of agricultural people and the result was that the two seperate part Upper-Bodony and Lower-Bodony became one. The village always had a close connection to nature as you can see the river and the fish on the crest of Ketbodony. The flowing water not only provided smaller fishes but also powered the windmill which is currently our main building for the company since 1984. The windmill dates back to 1694 at that time it produced premium quality. Furthermore you can also find an astonishing 16 hectares fishing lake which is so pure that you can sometimes catch crab in it.
Our company started to serve the needs of the domestic market. Later with the help of the Hungarian wholesalers, we started exporting to Western Europe, which we have been organizing independently since 1996. We can provide our partners favorable terms on short-term, fast and accurate delivery at a fair price!
In our factory, the tools and tools for producing fishing articles are made by our own, so we can quickly and flexibly adapt to different needs. We carefully pack our products and it is also possible to serve custom packaging needs!
In 2001, we became the member of Europe's largest trade association, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA) and since then we have been participating as an exhibitor at the European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition (EFTTEX) every year.
Deáky Ltd. has been the Hungarian Bronze Grade Sponsor of the Hungarian Feeder Team since 2014.
Thanks to the constantly expanding supply of goods and the constant high quality, our products have come to the most European countries and they were presented at numerous international professional exhibitions.
Our company only serves resellers, we do not currently deal with retail trade.
